Boccia is an adaptive sport that can be played by anyone. It is an easy sport to pick-up, but quickly builds intensity and complexity as you develop in the sport. Unique to boccia is it’s adaptive rules that allow players of all abilities to participate in the sport.
Played in 6 ends, players propel the ball (throw, kick, roll, etc.), towards the target ball known as the Jack and the side closest to the Jack at the end scores! Boccia can be played as singles, pairs or in teams of three.
Boccia at Carleton is free to play and registration is ongoing.
More information and registration is available on the Adaptive Boccia webpage, hosted by Carleton Athletics.
