Does social engagement motivate your learning?
Do you process information through explaining it aloud?
Are you interested in collaborative forms of studying?
The Paul Menton Centre’s Study Buddy Program connects students in the same class(es) to hash over course materials and prepare for upcoming assignments, tests and exams. Meetings are facilitated through Microsoft Teams, where study buddies meet privately.
The Study Buddy Program aims to facilitate study sessions early on, so that as the semester progresses, students can begin to take scheduling matters into their own hands. Learning strategists can pop into the meetings upon request and provide supplementary resources, (ex. study tips).
Note that the Study Buddy Program is not officially recognized by academic departments and meetings do not include a subject-matter expert.

Happy Studying!
