Learning Strategy Workshop Series

This virtual Learning Strategies drop-in program will help you develop your learning skills in a collaborative and supportive environment. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a group check-in, attend an interactive presentation on a different learning strategy, and engage in an activity to put new learning skills into practice.

Friday Socials

Friday socials are run by-students, for students. Check-in, share ideas and discuss inspirations. Each social has a different topic to spark discussion and interaction.

Grad Student Writing Group

Graduate students (Masters and Ph.D.) from all faculties/departments are invited to join our expanding and vibrant graduate community. Every Tuesday, graduate students meet virtually over Zoom to work on graduate-related projects (e.g. thesis, grant proposals, conference papers, seminar papers, etc.). Students begin each session by sharing their tangible goals and end the session by reflecting on what they have accomplished and setting goals for the upcoming week. Regular attendance is not mandatory, and you do not need to turn on your camera/microphone to participate! If you want a safe and supportive space to meet other graduate students, have informal accountability, and work through writing blocks, this is the Writing Group for you!

ADHD Group

Open to all Carleton students, the PMC ADHD Group is a space to learn more about ADHD and get practical strategies to work with your brain in a neurodivergence-friendly way, through engaging conversation, videos, infographics and memes, come connect with others who share a similar experience!

Anxiety Group

The PMC Anxiety Group is facilitated by PMC Coordinators and is designed to help you learn how to change your relationship with anxiety.  Connect with others having shared experiences.  Challenge yourself and open up new possibilities.  Learn some new anxiety hacks to manage anxiety.
