Accommodating and supporting students with disabilities at Carleton University is a shared responsibility that is carried out by various members of our community, each having an important role in the process. Students are responsible to self-identify their disability-related needs to the Paul Menton Centre (PMC) and actively participate in the accommodation processes. Course instructors act on accommodations recommended by the PMC to help facilitate their implementation and utilize resources provided by the Scheduling and Examination Services, such as the McIntyre Exam Centre. SES and other student service units collaborate with the PMC to make arrangements for accommodations and support services. And the PMC plays a key part in determining registration requirements, evaluating disability-related needs, and making recommendations for academic accommodations and relevant support services.
