This award is valued at up to $6,000 the first year and renewable at $6,000 for 3 years. Established in 2019 by the Walker Wood Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"eligibility-criteria\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"applicants-must\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applicants must&#8230;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be a Canadian citizen;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a documented permanent disability;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be registered with the Paul Menton Center;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>demonstrate good academic standing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be an undergraduate student in first year and pursuing post-secondary studies for the first time;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>demonstrate financial need.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate academic promise and leadership, participation in extra-curricular secondary school activities or community service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preference may be given to students who are passionate about advocating for disabilities<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications open: May 1, annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Application Deadline: August 31; no late and\/or incomplete applications will be considered.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This award may be renewed for 3 consecutive years of full-time enrolment (minimum of 3.0 credits over the Fall\/Winter session).
