As you begin this new term, remember that your well-being is just as important as your academic goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s to a fresh start and a successful semester ahead!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"pmc-disability-counselling\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">PMC Disability Counselling<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We have welcomed Erica Lobdell as PMC&#8217;s new counselling intern for the winter term.\u00a0Erica has 10 years of experience working with children, youth, and adults who have undergone assessment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and various learning disabilities. She holds a Master of Science in Teaching and is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, blending both educational and therapeutic perspectives in her work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Erica can offer six counselling sessions to address various issues related to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Procrastination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Motivation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety and depression<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psychoeducation about mental health and executive functioning skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emotion literacy and regulation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solution-focused problem solving<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stress management and self-care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sessions are solution-focused with an emphasis on skill building. Erica will be offering in-person and virtual sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please contact your disabilities coordinator to inquire about a referral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Health &amp; Counselling Services<\/strong> offers open and closed counselling groups and workshops to support your mental health.
