Daniel Turenne is the 2020 winner of the Pollara Statistical Confidence Award. This award is given to those students who produce the best quantitative analysis papers at an advanced stage of their studies and who have been associated with the Department of Political Science through course work or supervision. Pollara Strategic Insights is a major Canadian research company that has been sponsoring these awards for since 1998.
Daniel is a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management program (Concentration in Strategic Public Opinion and Policy Analysis).
Daniel is receiving the award for his work in Political Science 4702-Intermediate Research Methods for Applied Political Science. His major course paper “Americans’ Perceptions of Government Regulation of Major Technology Companies”.
Since graduating from Carleton, Daniel has worked as a term employee at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
Daniel’s instructor in PSCI 4702 was Scott Edward Bennett of the Department of Political Science.
