With a swell of enthusiasm, it is our pleasure to announce the participation of Dr. Caroline Orr Bueno of the University of Maryland and Dr. Barbara Perry of Ontario Tech as the keynote speakers for this year’s PSGSA Graduate Student Conference.

Dr. Caroline Orr Bueno is a behavioral scientist and freelance journalist internationally renowned for her research on media manipulation, cognitive security, and far-right extremism. A staple of media commentary on the politics of conspiracy, she can be followed on Twitter @RVAwonk.

Dr. Barbara Perry is the Director of the Centre on Hate, Bias and Extremism at Ontario Tech, and is one of Canada’s leading experts in anti-Muslim violence, hate crimes against LGBTQ communities, and right-wing extremism. Her research has recently seen her named a Distinguished Scholar by the American Society of Criminology and, like Dr. Orr Bueno, she is a constant scholarly figure in media coverage of the alt right.

We will continue to update this space with more information on our panels, associated events, and keynote speaker.
