
Kimberly Bittermann
PhD candidate
Kimberly Bittermann began her Doctoral studies in political science at Carleton in the fall of 2015, after completing a MA in political science at Memorial University of Newfoundland and a BA in political science at the University of Victoria. She is studying agricultural sustainability and climate change adaptation policy and practice in the Maritime Provinces under the supervision of Dr. Peter Andree. Prior to beginning her PhD, Kimberly worked as a Policy Analyst and Climate Change Adaptation Coordinator for the Department of Environment and Conservation, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador where she received the Public Service Award of Excellence. She is a member of the Carleton University Climate Commons and co-author, with Dr. Anne Dance and Teresa Devor, of “Canada After COP21,” which is forthcoming in the Journal of Parliamentary and Political Law.
