In keeping with Carleton’s commitment to offering co-op and internship programs, senior political science students have an exciting opportunity in the Carleton-Leeds Parliamentary Exchange program, which provides academic study and internships with Members of Parliament in Ottawa and London, England.
The Carleton-Leeds program allows honours students in political science to combine academic study, the practical experience of internships, and an opportunity to spend time abroad. Since 1990, several students per year, from Carleton and from Leeds University in the United Kingdom, have participated in the program.
Students selected for the exchange spend the fall term in Ottawa and the winter term in London, England. In each term, they will spend four days a week in each city serving as Parliamentary interns. The internships allow students to learn about Parliament and the legislative process.
In addition, they will take courses offered by Carleton and Leeds Universities.
