This is paid pedagogical training for TA's who attend.



Do your tutorials descend into total anarchy with sides battling each other and discussions spiralling out of control?



Not to worry – political science inherently challenges our assumptions about the world and invites strong normative, moral, and philosophical reflections. In this workshop we explore how we can facilitate discussions with the potential to derail within the constraints of the tutorial’s mandate: to help students learn. Here we discuss what strategies can we use to create a safe space where such discussions can take place and be productive rather than polarizing.
