I am incredibly grateful to have lived, loved, grown on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People, to which I call home. Specifically, the Land of Eel River Bar First Nations, Pabineau First Nations, and Listuguj Miꞌgmaq First Nation, whose lands has nurtured me from birth in many ways.

My research stems from an interest in gender and international relations, particularly within the international development sector. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Dalhousie University (’20)and a Master’s degree from University of Victoria (’21). Throughout my academic journey, I have been incredibly fortunate to work with amazing scholars in my field, such as David Black at Dalhousie and Laura Parisi at UVic. Their mentorship has been invaluable, and I am thrilled to continue this pattern of learning under guidance of Fiona Robinson and Laura MacDonald at Carleton.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I hold a position at VIDEA as a Feminist Programmes Coordinator. In this role, I advance decolonial, anti-racist, and feminist work in the international development sector. My commitment to these causes also extends to my service on Cooperation Canada’s Digna advisory committee and my active role as a board member for the Canadian Association for International Development Professionals (CAIDP).

My current research focuses on the international development sector, specifically investigating how civil society organizations in Canada have responded to the call for more feminist programming.

[19,50

post-36099","cu_people","type-cu_people","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","cu_people_type-graduate-student-profiles","cu_people_type-phd-candidate
["GET
