Canada is embroiled in the middle of these developments as a nation with strong normative international commitments potentially undermined by domestic challenges and division. This conference is an opportunity to both interrogate the challenges that have recently emerged as well as to think about solutions to some of these global as well as domestic issues. Inviting theoretical, empirical, and methodological contributions, the conference team invites any submissions revolving around the concerns within Canada as well as its role in the international sphere.

The Political Science Graduate Students’ Association (PSGSA) at Carleton University, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, invites graduate students (MAs and PhDs) to submit abstract proposals of no more than 250 words for the 6th Annual PSGSA Conference: Crises and Canada: Looking for Solutions in a Troubled World that respond to these concerns from a range of perspectives and fields, including International Relations, Comparative Politics, Critical Race and Gender Studies, Political Theory, and Canadian Politics as well as related disciplines.

Email with any questions to PoliticalScienceCarleton@gmail.com and check the conference website (carletonpolisciconference.com) for regular updates on the programme, speakers and panels!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Submissions should be for individual paper presentations which will be organized into panels. Please send a title and abstract, of up to 250 words through the Submission Form by April 10, 2024. Extended abstracts or papers are due to discussants by April 15th, 2024.
