The research specifically focuses on mother&#8217;s and how governance decisions impacted mothers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research will look at how policies were created during the pandemic and if during the creation of those policies the potential adverse impacts on this specific segment of the population was considered. In comparing Canada and the United Kingdom there may be important institutional insights gained that impact how effectively policies are created.
