Extraordinary rendition, the use of torture, Canada\u2019s involvement in Afghanistan, the legality of aggression, and the role of law in mitigating international conflict have become crucial concerns. I regard each of these as deepening a wider set of interests in processes of \u2018globalization\u2019 and the transformations its forces have engendered for social and political life in late-modernity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"teaching-interests\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Teaching Interests<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At present I teach three courses; two undergraduate and one graduate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Introduction to Public International Law (LAWS 3603)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International Law of Armed Conflict (LAWS 4606)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Race, Ethnicity and the Law (LAWS 5007)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The subject matter of each of these courses has become a passion, and each dovetails crucially with my research interests.
