Broadly speaking, the method I have followed in my work is to study the objectification of human experience in specific domains \u2013 unemployment,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WKJOAccP97k&amp;feature=youtu.be\">migration<\/a>, and, most recently,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/iaswun.blogs.bristol.ac.uk\/2019\/02\/11\/researching-secrecy-amidst-the-ruins-of-orford-ness\/\">state secrecy<\/a>. I ask what politics means in these domains, what forms it is capable of taking, and what lessons we can extrapolate from these encounters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am currently working on three projects: (1) a book entitled (provisionally!)&nbsp;<em>Rethinking Secrecy<\/em>&nbsp;(forthcoming with Routledge); (2) a&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca\/results-resultats\/recipients-recipiendaires\/2016\/insight-savoir-eng.aspx\">SSHRC<\/a>&nbsp;funded (2017-22) collaborative study of what I call&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LZneSTRHfpE\">air deportation<\/a>&nbsp;which focuses on the role of civil aviation in the forced removals of foreigners and illegalized people in and from Europe; (3) a co-edited book (with Charles Heller and Lorenzo Pezzani) called&nbsp;<em>Viapolitics<\/em>&nbsp;(forthcoming with Duke University Press).
