In addition, I appreciate the flexibility of course selection, as well as the critical perspectives that many of the professors at the institute, as well as my peers, share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My areas of research interest include\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In general, I\u2019m interested in how global economic forces shape and dictate local practices, such as in the case of large-scale infrastructure projects. More specifically, I\u2019m interested in the intersection of global environmental governance and the role that finance plays in that realm. Additionally, I have a regional research interest in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What activities have you been involved in lately?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I\u2019m not catching up on readings or grading midterms, I like to stay active by playing soccer and ultimate frisbee, and hiking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What advice would you give to a prospective Political Economy graduate student?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My best piece of advice would be to keep reading, stay informed on current events, and be critical.
