Lang School of Business and Economics<br>\nHonours Bachelor of Commerce in Management Economics and Finance, specialization in Managerial Economics<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is it specifically that attracted you to study Political Economy at Carleton?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was mainly drawn to the interdisciplinary nature of the program. I felt that my undergrad degree stayed inside a very specific box, so I was excited about the opportunity to push my learning in new directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My areas of research interest include\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Critical criminology, Indigenous hypercriminalization, income assistance\/welfare and crime, decommodification, settler colonialism, addiction and mental health policy, cycles of poverty, neoliberal discourses of race and crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What activities have you been involved in lately?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IPE Graduate Conference planning team<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What advice would you give to a prospective Political Economy graduate student?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Do NOT talk yourself out of reaching out if you have questions<br>\n2. Prepare yourself for a lot of work<br>\n3.
