His involvement in pension plan governance, including investment issues, led to an ongoing interest in the role that large pension funds, and private finance in general, is laying in contemporary capitalism. In 2023 Kevin became the founding Director of the Financialization Research Lab, housed at the Institute of Political Economy at Carleton. He combines teaching, research supervision, and his own research in these broad fields.
