The Department of Law and Legal Studies is organizing a talk, titled “Statelessness, Forced Isolation and Crimmigration in Canada” with Deepan Budlakoti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deepan Budlakoti is born and raised in Canada, stateless for over 10 years and was held at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre for over 4 years. He\u2019s an advocate for the human rights of prisoners and people with precarious immigration status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The panel will include  Alex Neve, Senior Fellow with the University of Ottawa’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and Senator Kim Pate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
