Maia Lugar is the Manager, Public Affairs at First Lake Solutions, where she delivers government relations services to clients in a variety of sectors, with extensive experience in the areas of infrastructure, municipal governance, skilled trades, Indigenous-government relationships, healthcare, and skills development\/training. She has experience developing advocacy and outreach strategies and is adept establishing ties between governments and stakeholder groups.<\/p>\n
Before joining First Lake, she worked on research in the field of Indigenous governance and federal-territorial-band council relations. She has been heavily involved in student politics at both Bishop\u2019s University and Carleton University. Maia translated that passion for politics into multi-partisan campaign work on several provincial campaigns in Ontario and her home province of Nova Scotia.<\/p>\n
The MPM is an incredible opportunity to meet and learn from people with a depth and breadth of political experience from across the political spectrum. The program has been invaluable to my career, both in terms of meeting the right people and having the answers to the right questions; I credit it as one of the best decisions I have ever made.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
