She is currently the&nbsp;Senior Policy and Research Analyst at the&nbsp;Broadbent Institute, where she is responsible for assisting with setting the research and policy direction of the organization, and managing the Broadbent Institute\u2019s Fellow Program.&nbsp;With an expertise in applying policy principles to matters of Canada&#8217;s most pressing public affairs, Brittany is regularly sought out to provide research, analysis and consultation services with a focus on creating a more socially progressive Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since graduating from the program, Brittany has become a frequent policy and public affairs speaker and commentator on income inequality, affordable housing, democratic renewal, the politics of Canadian multiculturalism and climate justice. She is a regular guest on CBC News and has appeared on several Canadian public affairs media programs, including Power &amp; Politics\/Sunday Scrum. Her commentary has also been featured in the Globe and Mail, TVO and the Toronto Star, among other major newspapers and broadcast networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining the Broadbent Institute, Brittany was on the policy team at the Maytree Foundation where her work focused on researching various poverty reduction strategies. She is also a former Program Manager at Harmony Movement, where she delivered diversity, equity and anti-racism training to students, educators and non-profits across Ontario; a constituency assistant to Councillor Janet Davis and has worked many years in Toronto&#8217;s homelessness and housing sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition&nbsp;to a Masters of Political Management from Carleton University, she holds an&nbsp;Hons. BA in Social Sciences from York University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThe Masters of Political Management program augmented my already acquired research, writing, policy and analytical skills in a way that has deepened my ability to progressively leverage institutions and agents of Canadian politics to produce and advocate for better outcomes for our society&#8217;s most disadvantaged communities.
