For complete information regarding required documents, please <a href=\"https:\/\/graduate.carleton.ca\/apply-online\/required-documents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our program requires:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Document\/Forms<\/th><th>Details<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Transcript(s)<\/td><td>All post-secondary transcripts are required&nbsp;and should be sent to <a href=\"https:\/\/graduate.carleton.ca\/contact\/\">Graduate Admissions<\/a>. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable when first applying. Official transcripts are required after an offer of admission is made and before registration in courses will be permitted.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Letters of Reference<\/td><td>Two (2) are required. Recent graduates should submit letters from two former professors. Applicants with extensive work experience may submit letters from their place of employment.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Resume\/CV<\/td><td>One (1) is required.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Statement of Intent<\/td><td>One (1) is required. This should outline your background, experience, and interest in the program (250-750 words limit).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Academic Writing Sample<\/td><td>One (1) is required. Sample of solo-authored academic (or comparable) written work (20 page maximum).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Language Proficiency (ESL Test Scores)<\/td><td>Required, if applicable. For Carleton\u2019s ESL requirements and policies, please visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/graduate.carleton.ca\/international\/english-second-language\/\">ESL Requirements website.<\/a><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"application-deadline\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Deadline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">February&nbsp;1st<\/strong> is the principal deadline for applications to the Political Management program for full-time students wishing to be considered for funding.&nbsp; <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Please note:<\/strong> Applications received after the first deadline will only be reviewed and considered for admission if space remains available in the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We continue to accept applications for part-time studies on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"how-to-apply\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The application process for graduate studies at Carleton is the same for all prospective students and must be completed online.
