Vokes previously served as Director of Policy for Transportation and Francophone Affairs Minister Caroline Mulroney and as Director&nbsp;of Legislative Affairs and Issues for Finance Minister Vic Fedeli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her new role, Vokes is responsible for overseeing the development of policy in the areas of transportation, infrastructure, municipal affairs and housing, auto insurance, and francophone affairs. She&nbsp;provides advice to the premier on these files and&nbsp;works to ensure that provincial policy is consistent with the government&#8217;s mandate and the premier&#8217;s priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vokes, who graduated with a master&#8217;s degree in political management in 2013, says that the program provided her with &#8220;hands-on, realistic instructions and assignments&#8221; that prepared her &#8220;for the intensity of working in political offices.&#8221; She added that the program was an &#8220;incredible experience&#8221; that allowed her to &#8220;build lasting friendships&nbsp;across&nbsp;party lines.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Political Management Program alumna Kailey Vokes has been appointed Director of Policy (Major Projects) for Ontario Premier Doug Ford.
