Three alumni of the Clayton H. Riddell Graduate Program in Political Management have been elected to the Board of Directors of the Government Relations Institute of Canada (GRIC), the national association of government and public relations professionals. Hardave Birk, Hunter Doubt, and Lucas Veiga join alumna Megan Lockhart on the board. Lockhart continues to serve as the GRIC’s corporate secretary. Alumnus Alex Maheu, MPM\/16, has now completed a two three-year terms on the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Riddell program offers Canada’s first Master of Political Management (MPM) degree, a one-year, program for professionals in the political realm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are delighted that our alumni are assuming leadership roles in Canada’s government relations field,” said Riddell program director Stephen Azzi. “Nothing speaks to the quality of our program more effectively than the success of our graduates.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lockhart, MPM\/14, is director of digital and advocacy strategy at National Public Relations. Birk, MPM\/15, is federal government relations manager for Shaw Communications. Doubt, MPM\/16, is senior consultant with Global Public Affairs. Maheu, MPM\/16, is senior government relations consultant at Summa Strategies. Veiga, MPM\/18, is government relations lead for the Canadian Nurses Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
