Riddell Graduate Program in Political Management is delighted to congratulate Bill Fox on being named a member of the Order of Canada. Fox has long and deep ties to the Political Management program. He has been a fellow of the program since its founding in 2011. He was founder of the program\u2019s Student Experience Fund, served as the program\u2019s inaugural practitioner-in-residence, and taught courses on strategic communications and media relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fox began his career as a journalist with the <em>Toronto Star<\/em>, before becoming press secretary and director of communications for Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. After leaving the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, Fox worked in various private sector positions, including executive vice president (communications and corporate development) at Bell Canada Enterprises and senior vice-president (public affairs) at both Bombardier Inc and CN. He holds a PhD in Communications from Carleton University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fox was named to the Order of Canada for his work \u201cfostering a greater understanding of communications principles within the public and private sectors and for furthering students\u2019 opportunities in political management and journalism,\u201d according to the announcement from Rideau Hall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Clayton H.
