The funding is an outcome of the 2021-2024 bargaining round between Carleton and CUASA in which the parties agreed to create a fund that supports faculty members of equity-deserving groups and\/or projects that advance EDI. The awards range from $5,000 to $15,000. Awards will continue to be awarded annually until the funds set aside for this purpose are depleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"teaching-awards\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Teaching Awards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The following&nbsp;awards are administered by Teaching and Learning Services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/teachingawards\/internal-awards\/teaching-awards\/\">Carleton University Chair in Teaching Innovation<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/teachingawards\/internal-awards\/teaching-awards\/\">Provost\u2019s Fellowship in Teaching<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/teachingawards\/internal-awards\/teaching-awards\/\">New Faculty Excellence in Teaching<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/teachingawards\/internal-awards\/teaching-awards\/\">Excellence in Blended and Online Teaching<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/teachingawards\/internal-awards\/teaching-awards\/\">Excellence in Learning Support Award<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/teachingawards\/internal-awards\/faculty-specific-awards\/\">A list of teaching awards at the Faculty level<\/a>&nbsp;is available on the Teaching Awards website. Additional awards at the departmental or academic unit levels may also be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/awards-and-grants\/teaching-award-winners\/\">CU Teaching Award Recipients<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"carleton-university-student-edi-research-awards\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carleton University Student EDI Research Awards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/provost\/awards-funding\/student-edi-research-awards\/\">Carleton University Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Research Awards<\/a>&nbsp;were established in 2021. This initiative invited students from all Faculties to submit a proposal for an EDI-related research project that they intend to work on during the period from May 1 to August 30 in collaboration with a faculty member. Two student awards (one undergraduate and one graduate) are available, each valued at $10,000. Award amounts include 4% vacation pay and research costs. Students will present their research during&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/equity\/events\/\">Carleton\u2019s annual Inclusion Week<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"provost-scholar-awards\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Provost Scholar Awards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/teachingawards\/provost-scholar-award\/\">Provost Scholar Award<\/a>&nbsp;honours exceptional undergraduate students who exemplify student engagement. Up to one $500 award per Faculty is available. The Peter J. Ricketts Outstanding Provost Scholar Award provides one outstanding Provost Scholar Award recipient with an additional $2,000. The awards are offered by the Office of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) and administered by Teaching and Learning Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"funding-opportunities\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Funding Opportunities <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"carleton-university-experiential-learning-fund\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carleton University Experiential Learning Fund<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.carleton.ca\/story\/experiential-learning-symposium\/\">Established in October 2018,<\/a>&nbsp;the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/awards-and-grants\/internal-funding\/carleton-university-experiential-learning-fund-cuelf\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/awards-and-grants\/internal-funding\/carleton-university-experiential-learning-fund-cuelf\/\">Carleton University Experiential Learning Fund<\/a>&nbsp;provides additional support for the development of experiential learning opportunities in academic courses and programs. Experiential learning is the application of theory and academic content to real-world experiences, either within the classroom, the community, or the workplace, which advances program or course-based learning outcomes that are specifically focused on employability skills.
