Pauline Rankin have announced Dr. Howard Nemiroff\u2019s appointment as Dean of the Sprott School of Business for a five-year term, effective July 1, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHoward has demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision and dedication to advancing Sprott\u2019s academic excellence and industry engagement,\u201d said Provost Rankin, who chaired the search advisory committee. \u201cHis commitment to fostering innovation, expanding research collaborations and enhancing student opportunities will continue to drive Sprott forward. During this period, he has led the Faculty through a successful Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) re-accreditation process, supported the development of a new Bachelor of Accounting degree that will launch in Fall 2025, and expanded program offerings across undergraduate and graduate levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am honoured to continue leading the Sprott School of Business for the next five years,\u201d said Nemiroff. \u201cSprott is driven by an incredibly dedicated team. Together we are fostering a learning environment that nurtures compassion, imagination and purpose.\u201d<br>Nemiroff is an Associate Professor of Finance. He completed undergraduate studies at Western University and holds a master\u2019s degree in economics and a PhD in finance from Concordia University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to taking on the role of Interim Dean, he served as the Associate Dean, Faculty Affairs, in the Sprott School of Business after having served as Sprott\u2019s Associate Dean, Undergraduate Studies for 10 years where he led continuous improvement initiatives for Sprott\u2019s undergraduate programs and served as the chair of the Senate Committee on Curriculum, Admission, and Studies Policy (SCCASP).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carleton University President Wisdom Tettey and Provost L.
