Message from the Vice-Presidents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear Members of the Carleton Community, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

National AccessAbility Week is celebrated the last week of May every year. It is an opportunity to celebrate the valuable contributions of Canadians with disabilities, as well as a time to recognize the efforts of those actively working to remove barriers to access and inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we celebrate National AccessAbility Week 2025, it is our pleasure to share Carleton University\u2019s renewed Coordinated Accessibility Strategy<\/a> (CAS). This refreshed strategy guides the implementation of accessibility initiatives at Carleton and acts as a catalyst to drive our culture of accessibility. It was developed after several months of comprehensive consultation<\/a> and represents the diverse voices of our community, including those with lived experiences of disability. We have made significant progress since the first CAS launched in 2020<\/a>, but there is more to be done. This renewed strategy guides our ongoing commitment to a campus that is accessible and inclusive for all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would like to thank everyone who provided feedback throughout this process. Your input was invaluable in shaping the renewed strategy. As part of our commitment to conducting a transparent process, the CAS has published a report outlining the feedback received<\/a> throughout the drafting phase of the consultation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, we can create a more accessible and inclusive world for all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
