In Conversation with the Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould

The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, P.C., Q.C., M.P., is a lawyer, author, and the former Minister of Veterans Affairs, Justice and Attorney General of Canada & BC Regional Chief. She currently serves as an Independent Member of Parliament for Vancouver Granville.

On the evening of March 12, 2020, the Hon. Wilson-Raybould will visit Carleton University to discuss milestones of her career in the public eye, courage, leadership, and her new book, From Where I Stand: Rebuilding Indigenous Nations for a Stronger Canada (2019). Drawn from Ms. Wilson-Raybould’s speeches and other writings, From Where I Stand urges action from Indigenous Nations, governments and all Canadians to acknowledge and deconstruct Canada’s colonial legacy, overhaul the Indian Act, and carve a path for true reconciliation.

Following her talk, the Hon. Member will be joined on stage by FASS student representatives for continued discussion.
