I am interested in how people maintain happy relationships (e.g., dating, marital, friendship) and the associated challenges. One line of my research focuses on relational boredom, namely, how people come to be bored in their relationships, the effects that boredom has on the relationship, and how people cope. My second line of research centers on the engagement of novel couple activities and people\u2019s expectations for excitement in relationships. Additionally, I have research interests related to different types of love, including compassionate love, as well as friendship maintenance.<\/p>\n
