Dr. Jaworska\u2019s research uses clinical electrophysiology (EEG\/ERP) and neuroimaging (fMRI\/PET) to better understand the brain in the context of mental illness. She and her team utilize these tools to understand the consequences of psychiatric interventions on the brain, and try to use objective \u2018brain markers\u2019 in predicting therapy response. Most of her work has centered on understanding brain changes in the context of mood disorders, including in adolescents\/young adults.
