While exploring the world and having so many amazing experiences I started to recognize large differences in how North America ‘takes care’ of their citizens. Coming to realize that there are much healthier populations and countries around the world made me take a deep dive into what was at the root of these differences. Mental health. In various capacities these people I connected with along my journeys taught me the importance of people being happy and having autonomy. This thought process solidified my decision to pursue psychotherapy after graduation in an effort to help others find their happiness and autonomy so they can live more fulfilled lives for themselves and others.

How did your experience in the psychology program shape your journey?

The psychology program at Carleton University really highlighted the fundamentals of how psychology came to be.
