She continued her studies, completing a <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Master of Arts<\/strong> with a specialization in Mental Health &amp; Well-Being in 2023, and is currently a <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Ph.D. student<\/strong> in Developmental Psychology.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"not-prose cu-quote cu-component-spacing\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;<strong>Making a decision about next steps is hard. I suggest students should really think about what makes them the happiest in life, and pursue next steps based on that.<\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h4 id=\"brief-description-of-what-i-do\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Brief description of what I do!<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>My research focuses on how solitude can promote well-being. In particular, I study how motivations for solitude, personality traits, and environmental context (e.g., spending time in nature) can promote different aspects of hedonic and eudaimonic well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"what-inspired-your-career-path-after-graduation\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">What inspired your career path after graduation?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I love learning and enjoy conducting research!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"how-did-your-experience-in-the-psychology-program-shape-your-journey\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">How did your experience in the psychology program shape your journey?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The psychology program at Carleton was so good that I refused to leave! Throughout my journey I have learned so much, and each day I continue to learn more and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"what-skills-or-experiences-were-most-valuable-after-graduation\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What skills or experiences were most valuable after graduation?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Interpersonal skills and making connections<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"are-there-specific-psychology-courses-professors-or-experiences-that-stood-out-during-your-time-at-carleton\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Are there specific Psychology courses, professors, or experiences that stood out during your time at Carleton?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a hard question because there are so many amazing psychology professors. I switched into the psychology program (from art history) because of how amazing <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/psychology\/people\/chris-motz\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/psychology\/people\/chris-motz\/\">Chris Motz<\/a>&#8216;s classes were. My supervisor <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/psychology\/people\/robert-coplan\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/psychology\/people\/robert-coplan\/\">Dr. Robert Coplan<\/a> is an amazing mentor and has made my Ph.D. an INCREDIBLE experience. I have also enjoyed working with <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/psychology\/people\/joanna-pozzulo\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/psychology\/people\/joanna-pozzulo\/\">Dr. Joanna Pozzulo<\/a>, and couldn&#8217;t have gotten to where I am today without her. <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/psychology\/people\/chad-danyluck\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/psychology\/people\/chad-danyluck\/\">Dr. Chad Danyluck<\/a> was also an amazing TA mentor and taught me so much. I have immense gratitude and appreciation for all of these individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"what-has-been-a-highlight-or-proud-moment-in-your-career-so-far\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">What has been a highlight or proud moment in your career so far?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>TA&#8217;ing the social psychology course was a huge highlight of my career. I loved working one on one with the students and watching them grow academically over the course of a school-year.
