(Honours) in Psychology require 20.0 credits for the degree; nine of these credits are from Psychology.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the number of courses in fourth year, Honours students either design and carry out a supervised research Honours Thesis or participate in an Honours Project.<\/p>\n<p><\/p><\/dd><dl><\/div>\n<div class=\"slideme\"><dl class=\"slideme__list\"><dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-i-plan-to-apply-to-graduate-school-in-psychology-which-one-is-better-a-b-a-or-a-b-sc\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-i-plan-to-apply-to-graduate-school-in-psychology-which-one-is-better-a-b-a-or-a-b-sc\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">I plan to apply to graduate school in Psychology. Which one is better: a B.A. or a B.Sc.?<\/a><\/dt><dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-i-plan-to-apply-to-graduate-school-in-psychology-which-one-is-better-a-b-a-or-a-b-sc\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><p><\/p>\n<p>The short answer is that it does not matter. Both degrees in Psychology will allow you to apply to graduate programs in Psychology. A longer answer might be that it depends. For instance, if a student were applying to a graduate program in Neurocognitive Psychology, then some relevant natural sciences courses or even a B.Sc. might be advisable. In contrast, if a student were interested in applied graduate research in Forensic Psychology, then some related courses in the humanities or a B.A. might be the best choice. (Honours) students in psychology and affords opportunities for students to implement their psychological knowledge and skills across a variety of settings including government departments, community agencies, and the private sector.<\/p>\n<p>How do I apply?<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Apply directly from high school via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ouac.on.ca\/\">Ontario University Application Center Website<\/a>. You must apply to Carleton\u2019s B.A. (Honours) with a Major in Psychology program or B.Sc.
