This prestigious recognition is among the highest honours in Canada&#8217;s health sciences community and acknowledges individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and impact in advancing health sciences. Dr. Wohl is the <strong>first Carleton researcher<\/strong> to receive this distinction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Wohl&#8217;s research has significantly influenced the fields of health psychology, public health policy and addiction harm prevention. As Director of <strong>The Betterment Labs<\/strong>, his work explores conflict resolution, social identity, behavioural change and gambling harm prevention. He is widely recognized for pioneering the <strong>Positive Play<\/strong> framework, an approach that has transformed responsible gambling research, policy and practice and is now used in more than 70 jurisdictions worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the course of his career, Dr. Wohl has authored hundreds of scholarly publications, technical reports and book chapters, with research appearing in leading journals such as <em>Nature<\/em>, <em>Nature Human Behaviour<\/em>, <em>The Lancet Regional Health \u2013 Americas<\/em> and <em>Addiction<\/em>.
