As a QEScholar, I will be undertaking multiple activities during this trip. This will include cultural activities and water testing in multiple villages. I am excited to learn about the culture, observe the natural environment, and contribute to and take part in the community. In the first portion of the trip, I would like to assist as much as possible with the Courts for Change in building relationships. In the second portion, I would like to work on my leadership and communication capabilities, as well as my organization and time management strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n

My project explores how design research methods can support meaningful collaboration with smallholder farmers in Arusha, Tanzania. Working in partnership with ECHO East Africa, I will conduct immersive fieldwork (interviews, observation, and participatory co-design activities) to better understand farmers\u2019 everyday challenges and the cultural motivations shaping farming and market decisions. The research aims to generate practical insights and tools that strengthen cross-cultural collaboration and inform future collaborative initiatives with local smallholder farmers.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
