href=\"https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/ycg8tw77\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">countries<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>During your award period, you should be willing to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in community engagement activities in Canada<\/li>\n<li>Conduct research on a full time basis at Carleton University, or at one of the <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/qes\/partners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">3 SSA Institutions<\/a>, of which no less than 30% of award time must involve research at the research placement partner <strong>(off campus)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"slideme\"><dl class=\"slideme__list\"><dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-eligibility\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-eligibility\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">Eligibility<\/a><\/dt><dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-eligibility\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><p><\/p>\n<h4>SSA Doctoral Researcher<\/h4>\n<p>Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enrolled in a PhD program at one of the 3 <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/qes\/partners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">partner\u00a0institutions<\/a>\u00a0or through the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ug.edu.gh\/carnegie\/ug-pada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University of Ghana Pan African Doctoral Academy (UG-PADA)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Conducting doctoral research on issues related to societal transformation and climate change<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>SSA Early Career Researcher<\/h4>\n<p>Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed PhD degree within the last 7 years<\/li>\n<li>Conducting research on issues related to societal transformation and climate change<\/li>\n<li>Hold a permanent academic position at one of the 3 <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/qes\/partners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">partner institutions<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p><\/dd><dl><\/div>\n<div class=\"slideme\"><dl class=\"slideme__list\"><dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-funding\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-funding\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">Funding<\/a><\/dt><dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-funding\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><p><\/p>\n<p>The award covers:<\/p>\n<p><strong>A) <\/strong><strong>Pre-departure costs<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Travel-related medical costs<\/li>\n<li>Visa and Visa-acquisition costs<\/li>\n<li>Ground transport to airport<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>B) <\/strong><strong>Travel Expenses<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ground transport to home airport<\/li>\n<li>Airfare \u2013 Economy Class (return ticket) between international airport in home country and final destination in host country.<\/li>\n<li>Airport taxes<\/li>\n<li>Travel insurance during transit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>C) <\/strong><strong>In-Country Expenses<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Health Insurance Plan<\/li>\n<li>Shared Accommodation<\/li>\n<li>Semi-Monthly Living Allowance<\/li>\n<li>Research Related-Expenses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p><\/dd><dl><\/div>\n<div class=\"slideme\"><dl
