These extensions aim at addressing various problems present in the Standard Model, such as the origin of mass, the structure of its gauge symmetries, the structure of quarks and lepton masses and mixings, and the presence of dark matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His main focus has been on the origin of mass &#8211; the mechanism that break the electroweak symmetry.
