On the Virtual Machines in our Linux RCDC compute cloud, X2Go is not normally installed.\u00a0 But if you have a use-case for it, please contact the RCS team and we can help you to set up X2Go.<\/p>\n<h2>Installing X2Go Client<\/h2>\n<p>The X2Go Client is available for Mac, Windows, and Linux.\u00a0 To download a Mac or Windows installer, visit this page:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.x2go.org\/doku.php\/download:start\">https:\/\/wiki.x2go.org\/doku.php\/download:start<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Connecting to X2Go Server<\/h2>\n<p>A member of the RCS team will give you connection information, including username\/password and IP address.\u00a0 They are the same settings as used by SSH software such as MobaXterm.<\/p>\n<p>To connect:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Start the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/help-centre\/remote-access\/\">Carleton VPN<\/a> if off-campus or on wireless<\/li>\n<li>Launch the <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.x2go.org\/doku.php\/download:start\">X2Go Client software<\/a><\/li>\n<li>On the\u00a0<strong>Session<\/strong> menu, click <strong>New Session<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The first time you run X2Go on Windows, you might be asked to allow a few X2go connections through your Windows Defender Firewall.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the following settings:\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>Set <strong>Host<\/strong> to the provided IP address<\/li>\n<li>Set the\u00a0<strong>Login<\/strong> to the provided username<\/li>\n<li>Set the <strong>Session type<\/strong> to <strong>MATE<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Optionally, on the Input\/Output tab, select your preferred display size<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to close the session dialog<br \/>\n<h2><img
