\n Research Computing and Development Cloud (RCDC)\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

A joint initiative between the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Engineering and Design, the Office of the Vice-President (Research and International) and Information Technology Services, the Research Computing and Development Cloud (RCDC) is available to Carleton University researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RCDC uses the OpenStack cloud computing software built upon Canonical\u2019s Ubuntu operating system. The purpose of the RCDC is to allow researchers access to data science and analytics tools as well as to provide a development environment to create their own applications before transitioning to larger compute platforms. The RCS team can help with guidance and expertise to develop new code, improve existing code workflow and performance in order to reduce overall runtime in addition to directing users with greater requirements to other available resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
