This research includes intelligent prosthetics and orthotics, robotic exoskeletons and smart wheelchairs, biomechanical walking analysis in 3D virtual environments, smartphone approaches to improve clinical decision-making, and eHealth technology to enhance access to education and rehabilitation services. This research combines engineering, biomechanics, signal processing and machine learning, and clinical rehabilitation sciences. In 2012, he was honoured with the \u201cInstrumental Album of the Year\u201d Juno award for his work with genre-defying trio Stretch Orchestra. In 2014, he was named to the Order of Ottawa.
