This was done through the Building Better Together program founded at the university in 2016. <span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\">During this time, there are 24 student teams work on a collaborative design project with older adult volunteers from the community. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We actually have a partnership with the occupation therapy program at Queen&#8217;s University and we take third year bio-mechanical engineering students and we partner them with second year occupational therapy students, and they join in teams of 6 to meet with community end users&#8221; say&#8217;s Dr. Claire Davies from Queen&#8217;s university<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students at Queen&#8217;s University have designed custom assistive devises to improve the quality of life for patients living with debilitating illnesses.
