“For Jim Stinson, multiple sclerosis is no longer a barrier between him and a great novel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Before Queen’s University engineering students designed a bookstand for him, he had difficulty reading and required audiobooks or having someone read aloud to him. Now, the bookstand sits on the arm of his wheelchair and allows him to flip pages easily.<\/p>\n

It’s one of the designs from Building Better Together, a program that has third-year engineering student collaborate with master’s students in occupational therapy to build assistive devices.”<\/p>\n
