RSVP Information

Please note that the deadline to RSVP has now passed and therefore the form has been removed.

The RSVP form was for students who graduated in 2020 and 2021. Students who graduated or who are graduating in 2022 should not complete this form. Students graduating in spring 2022 must apply to graduate by Friday, April 1, 2022 through Carleton Central.

IMPORTANT INFO:

The detailed schedule (day and time) for your specific ceremony will be posted by early March and will be confirmed by email.
All ceremonies will be subject to public health guidelines. All event attendees must provide proof of vaccination upon arrival and follow all required public health measures.
All information regarding these ceremonies will be communicated through your Carleton (@cmail) address and/or posted on the Carleton convocation website at carleton.ca/convocation.
This form can only be submitted once.

FAQs

When will the schedule be posted?

The schedule will be available on the convocation website in March

When is my ceremony?: The exact schedule of ceremonies is still being determined. If you have submitted an RSVP, you will receive another communication from the University in March to let you know the date and time of your ceremony once the schedule is confirmed.

Who is being invited to take part in these ceremonies?

The ceremonies are being held to recognize the accomplishments of everyone who graduated from Carleton University between February 2020 and November 2021. Each ceremony will celebrate graduates from the specified degree regardless of the term they graduated.

Where will the ceremonies be held?

The ceremonies will be held in the Fieldhouse at Carleton University. In accordance with public health guidelines, we will be holding more frequent ceremonies with fewer attendees during the week of June 13-18.

Is there a limit to the number of guests I can bring?

Graduates will be limited to a maximum of 4 guests. This limit is necessary to help us adhere to public health guidelines.

Will I be required to provide proof of vaccination?

All event attendees must provide proof of full vaccination upon arrival and follow all required public health measures. Further details will be posted on the convocation website.

I have family members who are travelling internationally and require documentation based on the requirements of IRCC (Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada), where can I get this?

If you are an undergraduate student, you can request an invitation letter by contacting the Registrar’s Office.

If you are a graduate student, please contact the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs.

If I have graduated with two degrees between February 2020 and November 2021, which ceremony do I attend?

You should plan to attend the ceremony for the highest degree that you earned. The schedule will be available on the convocation website in March, and you will receive an email confirming the date and time of the ceremony you should attend.

I will be graduating in February or June 2022 but have also graduated with another degree between February 2020 and November 2021, what ceremony do I attend?

You would be eligible to attend both ceremonies as there will be no overlap in the dates of these ceremonies. Spring 2022 convocation ceremonies for February and June graduates are planned the week of June 20-25, 2022.
