Block Registration

As a new BAS student, many of your first-year courses have been pre-selected.

To complete your registration, you should add

• ARTH 1200 [Fall] and a tutorial
• ARTH 1201 [Win] and a tutorial
• 1.0 credit free elective(s) of your choice.

A list of suggested tutorials for the Art History courses can be found the School’s website.

Your courses are already pre-selected. You should not delete or substitute any of the CRNs that are preselected for you without consulting with the School of Industrial Design.

Many of your courses have been pre-selected. Do not delete or substitute any of the CRNs that are preselected for you without consulting with the School of Information Technology.

• NET students will need to add 1.0 credit for electives (0.5 credit for the Arts & Humanities Elective in the Fall term and 0.5 credit for the Algonquin Elective BIT 1006 in the Winter term).
• IMD students will need to add 1.0 credit for the Arts & Humanities Electives (0.5 credit in Fall & Winter).
• IRM students will need to add 1.0 credit (0.5 credit in Fall & Winter) towards a Minor of their choice.  Students who are unable to apply and register for courses in a Minor should take a 1.0 credit course in French Language instead (FREN course codes only will be accepted).

Before beginning your registration, new first-year Engineering students should refer to the Bachelor of Engineering course selection guide and the Academic Support website. 

If you who have been admitted without advanced standing or language requirements, you will find your core engineering, math and science courses already pre-selected. You will have to register in the appropriate Complementary Studies elective(s) (if applicable to your program).
