Biography<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Janet Tulloch is an interdisciplinary scholar. Her article on \u201cGender\u201d in The Eerdmans Encyclopedia of Early Christian Art and Archaeology, Paul Corby Finney (ed.), 2017, is an excellent summary of her research findings on the historical implications of 4th century Roman visual culture for women in early Christian leadership positions.<\/p>\n

Her project as adjunct research professor which began just before Covid 19, was to investigate the phenomenon of religious art and ritual practice in 21st century Canadian Public Art Space.<\/p>\n

This project took a personal turn when Tulloch teamed up with Algonquin Metis artist, Lise Perras to produce a joint visual arts exhibition on their overlapping ancestral mythologies and histories for Artpontiac\u2019s Stone School Gallery, Portage du Fort, Quebec in 2020. The exposition, Threads & Ties \/ Au fil des si\u00e8cles is headed to the Obadjiwan\u2013Fort T\u00e9miscamingue National Historic Site in Summer 2023 or 2024.<\/p>\n

On campus, Dr. Tulloch can be found occasionally at Carleton\u2019s new Book Arts Lab in MacOdrum Library where she is researching the fabrication of hand-made books for a project on experiential learning and Origin Myths.<\/p>\n
