Due to an increase in costs and a reduction in volunteers, the Montgomery Legion, Carleton University’s official partner in the poppy campaign, is addopting new ways to raise funds.
The Montgomery Poppy Fund operates to provide assistance to Veterans, serving military, RCMP and their dependents.
The Legion has indicated that they are already expecting to fall short of their requirements.
As such, and for the second straight poppy campaign, a GoFundMe campaign will be re-activated on Friday.
