She was born and raised in the village of Skidegate and is currently a Master&#8217;s of Public Policy and Administration candidate at Carleton University. As a research assistant and\u00a0student, Serena&#8217;s interests include policies that uphold inherent rights and title, strengthen Indigenous lives, and support the self-determination of Indigenous communities.
