Prior to assuming these current roles, Rick served for over 30 years in the federal public service after starting his career as an economic consultant in the private sector. During his public service career, he held a variety of senior executive positions in several different departments, including Finance (international affairs and trade), the Canada Revenue Agency (legislative &amp; regulatory affairs), the Privy Council Office (financial\/budget advisor) and Citizenship &amp; Immigration (policy &amp; service delivery operations).
